It was one of the most thrilling finishes of the day as Neville Parnham trainer Neufbosc and Grant and Alana Williams trained Truly Great pulled clear 200m from home to fight out the finish.
Neufbosc had been in great form leading up to the race finishing second in the G.A. Towton Cup followed by a win in the A.T.A Stakes and carried that impressive form into the Perth Cup.
It’s been a truly remarkable turnaround for Neufbosc who only landed in the west with CHT at the start of spring after joining the Parnham stable from Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig.
Considered an import horse never living up to the hype Parnham has got the 6yo gelding humming with 7 starts in black type racing with 3 wins and a placing in return.
